Asbell Center Dedication - Sunday, April 27, 2003

A beautiful spring day greeted guests at festivities surrounding the dedication of the new Milton B. Asbell Center for Jewish Life at Dickinson College. Events included a kosher brunch, music by a klezmer band, a torah procession and a talk by Dickinson graduate Stephen H. Hoffman, president and CEO of United Jewish Communities.

The Center was made possible by a lead gift from Yale Asbell '78 and his wife Audrey. It was named in honor of Yale's father Dr. Milton Asbell '37. The new center includes a kosher kitchen, a dining room, a seminar room/library, several offices for the Hillel director and student groups, a worship room, student lounge and an apartment for visiting scholars.
