The address Expectations, Standards and the Desire To Be the Best was given by Thomas DiBiagio, Esq. '82. Prior to becoming Maryland's U.S. Attorney, Tom DiBiagio was in private practice in Baltimore and also served as a federal prosecutor. As a student at Dickinson, he majored in international studies and participated in Dickinson's Bologna program. He was on the men's lacrosse team and a member of Phi Kappa Psi.

The Presidential Scholarships were awarded to a rising male and female senior who have distinguished themselves in the areas of leadership and scholarship while at Dickinson. The Senior and Junior sophisters were also recognized, as well as the new members of Phi Beta Kappa.
