Athletic Excellence

Congratulations to the 23 Red Devils who were named to All-Centennial Conference (CC) teams for the spring 2013 season.

Baseball


Junior Hank Sanders was named to the All-CC baseball team and was voted the All-CC team's Most Valuable Player. The catcher led the Red Devils and ranked second in the conference with a remarkable .406 batting average.

Men's Lacrosse

Senior Brandon Palladino headlines a significant Red Devil presence on the All-CC squad; eight players received recognition, including a remarkable six players named to the First Team. Joining Palladino on the First Team are seniors Matt Cherry, Greg Hanley and Peter Zouck; junior Brian Cannon; and sophomore Slay Sudah. Earning honorable mentions are juniors Brian Gleason and Carter Moore.

Palladino also was named the Division III Player of the Year by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), and Cannon was named Outstanding Attackman. The USILA named seven Red Devils to its All-America Team: Palladino, Cannon, Cherry, Zouck, Sudah, Hanley and Parker Waldron. 

Women's Lacrosse

Two players earned spots on the All-CC women's lacrosse team. Sophomore Carly O'Brien and first-year Caroline Clancy were both named to the Second Team.

Softball

Five Red Devils earned spots on the All-CC team, including junior Chelsea Homa, who makes her third-consecutive appearance. Joining Homa on the Second Team is senior Carly Jordan. Senior Melissa Osborn, sophomore Katie Swade  and first-year Casey Ditzler  received honorable mentions.


Men's Tennis

Senior Will Golinkin was named to the 2013 All-CC men's tennis team. Golinkin makes his second appearance on the All-CC team, earning second-team honors this season and first-team honors in 2012.


Women's Tennis

Senior Alysia Rodgers and junior Shannon Lavery were named to the All-CC women's tennis team. Rodgers earned first-team honors in singles and joined Lavery to earn first-team doubles honors. Lavery also was named to the All-CC Second Team in singles. Rodgers was named to the First Team in singles for the second-straight season, also earning second-team recognition in 2010.

Men's Track & Field

Junior Aaron Pannell earned first-team All-CC honors, running to a third-straight CC title in the 100-meter and repeating in the 200-meter, while senior Casey Caslin claimed the CC title in the shot put. At the CC Championships, juniors Omar Hyjek and Robbie Sansevere and sophomores Charlie Bayne and Conor White combined to win the 4x800 meter relay, while junior Ryan Steinbock placed second in the steeplechase and third in the 1500-meter.

Women's Track & Field

Senior Vivian Butali earned All-CC honors with a trio of third-place finishes at the CC Championships in the 100-meter, and long- and triple-jump events. Sophomore Kristina Link also earned All-CC honors, tying for third in the high jump, while senior Mary Nolte qualified for nationals in the 1500-meter.
