Ceremony marks exciting new era in Red Devil athletics

This past weekend, nearly 100 alumni, parents and student-athletes filled the Kline Center to celebrate the new Red Devils basketball and volleyball locker rooms. And the theme was gratitude.

“What a great day for Dickinson athletics today,” said President Margee Ensign, noting that the gifts made by dozens of McAndrews Fund donors made the day possible. “Your generosity is an inspiration to our players and to all of us at Dickinson. We’re enormously grateful."

Former teammates reminisced about their Dickinson student-athlete experience and gathered to cheer on current Red Devils during the annual Red Out basketball games. And while they looked back at those on-court memories, they also looked forward to the future of Dickinson athletics.

“There’s incredible enthusiasm and energy,” said Mark Copeland ’91. “It’s a fabulous time to be at Dickinson.”
