From Aug. 28 to Sept. 19, there were 132 national and nine international mentions of Dickinson in the news.

Highlights

An op-ed by President Margee Ensign was published in Army Times, University Business and The Sentinel. Ensign argued against a proposal before Defense Secretary James Mattis to close the U.S. Army War College’s Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute.

President Ensign also was profiled by Enterprising Women in feature titled, “The Entrepreneur’s Whisperer.”

Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Jane Battersby co-wrote an opinion piece titled, “‘Fake food’ in South Africa: myths, misinformation and not enough data,” which was published in The Conversation.

Director of The Milton B. Asbell Center for Jewish Life Ted Merwin’s opinion piece titled, “Yom Kippur: A time for feasting as well as fasting,” was published in The Conversation and Newsweek.

Dickinson was ranked No. 6 in Sierra Magazine’s annual list of Top 10 Cool Schools in the U.S. for mastering the art and science of campus sustainability.

Vice President and Dean of Admissions Cathy Davenport was a live guest on WITF’s “Smart Talk” for an hourlong panel discussion on college admissions.
