How has Dickinson prepared you for your future?
Throughout my academic career at Dickinson, I have thoroughly enjoyed and thrived in a wide array of classes, while also developing close relationships with my professors. Dickinson has prepare me not only to survive, but also to thrive through the knowledge that I have gained in my courses and interactions with everyone on campus, as well as through the lasting relationships that I have developed with my professors and peers.
Internship Experience
During, summer 2017, I interned at the Mental Health Association in Delaware. During my internship, I co-facilitated support groups for women with depression and anxiety, presented at inpatient treatment centers throughout Delaware about the Mental Health Association’s services and conducted follow-up calls with clients. The internship affirmed my desire to pursue higher education and a career based in clinical psychology.
What are you most anticipating about your future?
I am most anticipating the additional experience and greater understanding of psychological research that I will obtain through working as a research assistant, which will help me develop a stronger real-world foundation for my future graduate school experience.

Job Responsibilities
I have just been accepted into Teach for America's network in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area. I will be teaching at the elementary level, a classroom of any grade K through fourth, which I will know in another month or so. I will be attending the institute this summer, which will involve an intensive five-week training course to prepare me for the fall. I also will attend the University of Pennsylvania for my education certification for K-4.
How has Dickinson prepared you for your future?
I have extended my ability to connect with people of all different backgrounds. I have grown independently from my experience abroad and self-lessons I have encountered at this time in my life.
What are you most anticipating about your future?
I cannot wait to show people how high spirited and passionate I am about the importance of education! I am excited to advance my knowledge within the field of education and have more of a specialized area of focus.
What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?
Going abroad to Australia allowed me to develop and flourish in ways I didn't know I was capable of! Also, being a part of the field-hockey team for all four years has impacted my time-management and leadership skills in many ways.

How has Dickinson prepared you for your future?
Dickinson has prepared me for my future by really showing me that your degree does not have to be your career path, and that it's okay to change interests over the course of four years. You're not supposed to know everything when you get to college, or even as you leave. Dickinson has shown me that it's okay not to know exactly what you want to do, but the liberal-arts education has prepared me for any opportunity that comes my way.
Internship Experience
Over my four years here, I had two phenomenal internships. One was with the Alzheimer's Association in Norwalk, Connecticut. I was an intern/executive assistant and helped the regional walk director market, network and organize the Fairfield County Walk to End Alzheimer's back in fall 2016. My next internship was actually at my upcoming place of employment, Communication Partners Group. At the New York City office, I served as a medical editorial intern and worked on projects for pharmaceutical companies involving heart failure medications.
What are you most anticipating about your future?
While I am thrilled about my current position, I know that it's a stepping stone for my ultimate goals. I know that I want to eventually move from the editorial department to the accounts side of things and hopefully learn and prepare myself for business school in a few years! From there, I'll have to decide what's next. Right now, I'm thinking I would love to get into health care consulting, but who really knows at this point? Even though I know this position isn't going to be where I end my career, it's my foot in the door and I'm so excited to put my best foot forward and just absorb as much knowledge and experience as I can.
