“A lot of people don’t realize that estate giving is a great opportunity. They need to know that the college can leverage a gift like this right away, so it helps with other grants and fundraising … That the money can help Dickinson and leave a legacy is very important to my wife and me.”

–Greg Zimmerman ’83

Greg Zimmerman ’83 majored in history but sees his broad liberal-arts education as the secret to his success. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania after graduating from Dickinson and later left a job at a large law firm to enter the world of commercial real estate.

In real estate, Zimmerman used the leadership and critical thinking skills he sharpened at Dickinson to become senior vice president of Big Box Development at Simon Property Group, the world’s biggest real-estate company. After supporting Dickinson as a donor and volunteer over the last three decades, recently joined the Old West Society with an estate gift for an endowed faculty chair in the history department.
