Seniors and alumni gather annually for a Networking Day luncheon. This year, participants will learn about international dining etiquette.

Dickinson College seniors and alumni will be treated to a luncheon about international etiquette during Networking Day on Feb. 9. The tips presented will come in handy for seniors as they prepare for their professional careers

Lynne and John Breil from The Professional Edge Inc. will teach participants how to make a good impression when faced with foods like French onion soup, whole cherry tomatoes and slippery pasta. Their discussion of international-business dining and etiquette will cover the differences between European and American dining styles, as well as the proper way to use chopsticks.

"Lynne and John Breil are excellent presenters for the Etiquette Luncheon," says Laura Wills, associate director for alumni and parent programs. "The information they provide will make students and alumni more confident and knowledgeable about business dining. We wanted to add an international component this year because the information is important in today's global business world."

The Professional Edge Inc. has presented to the United States Department of Defense, Nextel, AstraZeneca and the American Press Institute, among others.

Lynne Breil founded The Professional Edge Inc. and was one of the first four women in the United States to be certified as a business-etiquette speaker. John Breil works in international sales and marketing and is directly responsible for six international offices as well as sales in more than 50 countries.
