The Dickinson College Army ROTC team finished fourth in its division and eighth overall in a recent Ranger Challenge competition at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa.

There were 20 schools in the competition, divided into three divisions. Since Dickinson, a member of the Blue Mountain Battalion, had won the competition for the last two years, the college's team was moved up to the first division, which includes larger schools like the University of Pittsburgh and Lehigh University.

This year's squad again finished first in marksmanship. Other events in the Ranger Challenge included the Army physical-fitness test, land navigation, weapons assembly and disassembly, the one-rope bridge, hand-grenade assault course, obstacle course, an exam covering patrolling, and a 10K-rucksack run.

The members of this year's team were Graham Rockwell '07, Kerstin Connard '08, team captains Brian Wallen '08 and Tony Wang '08, Ryan Daniel '09, Cameron Kerr '09, Joel Meredith '09, Margeaux Schade '09, Eric Verbovszky '09 and Benjamin Greenlee '10. Also, three Dickinson cadets competed for Millersville University, which is part of the Blue Mountain Battalion. They were Nick Iorio '09, James Hutchin '09 and Nicole Myers '10.
