At Commencement in May an honorary doctorate was awarded to  the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF). CNN chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour, a member of the IWMF board of directors, accepted an honorary doctor of journalism on behalf of the organization. She also took time to speak with Sherri Kimmel, senior editor, about women’s roles in the media and her own journey to the top of her profession.
