The Global Experience: Mycenae, Greece

Greece is an incredible blend of past and present, old and new. Its natural landscapes are breathtaking and its culture beautiful. During its long history, Greece has weathered the ravages of invaders, famines, plagues and natural disasters. Despite all these hardships, people have returned, rebuilt and grown stronger. Some would suggest that the current crisis Greece faces is one that cannot be recovered from easily. But the ancient ruins, surrounded by modern construction, pay tribute to the resiliency of Greece.
