Following its upset of then No. 3-ranked Roanoke, the men's lacrosse team jumped onto the USILA poll at No. 10. The team is off to its best start in school history, improving to 6-0 on the season. This start matches the school record, set by the 1958 national championship team. The 1958 Red Devils also started 6-0 and finished 9-2 on the year.

In Saturday's upset victory, the Red Devils erupted for six goals in the fourth quarter, coming back from a 5-1 deficit to beat Roanoke 7-6.

The victory was so notable that it was the topic of a column in Lacrosse Magazine Online. Author Jac Coyne noted that at the end of "Dickinson's stunning victory," head coach Dave Webster called a timeout to talk to his team and remind them that their goals for the season extended beyond a single game. Rather than an exuberant, stick-tossing celebration, the Devils lined up for the traditional postgame handshake with their opponents.
