More Winter Weather
February 12, 2010
Students cross snow-covered Britton Plaza to get to the HUB.Earlier in February we characterized a heavy weekend snowfall as a "winter wonderland," but following another substantial storm our appreciation for the white stuff is beginning to fade. This one began Tuesday afternoon and continued through Wednesday, dumping an additional foot of snow on the midstate while strong winds hampered visibility and created many snow drifts. College offices were closed on Wednesday and Thursday, but classes were held and dining facilities remained opened. Facilities staff members worked hard to clear walks and parking lots and students made the best of the situation.
As always, college photographer A. Pierce Bounds '71 laced up his boots and headed out to take photos of the snow-covered campus. Enjoy the slideshow below or see the photos on our page at Flickr.
