UWC Atlantic
Giulia's first stop on her Fall 2003 travel was the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales, UK. Upon arrival, a welcoming student gave her a tour around the amazing campus at St. Donat’s Castle!

England
Giulia's next stop was London, England. In between visits to the American School London, the American Community Schools, Cobham & Egham and the TASIS American School in England, she ventured out in the evenings to see the sites... |

Family Visit in Southern Italy
Leaving England, Giulia headed to Italy. Before setting off to visit schools in Rome, Milan and Trieste, Giulia fit in a quick visit to her "home, away from home" in Southern Italy to spend some time with her parents and relatives...
Here's some shots of her favorite places- the mountain town where her parents were born, her family's home in the country, which has been passed on through many generations (1of the first houses on the land dated back to the 1800's), some fall treats from the land, Giulia's favorite nearby beach on the Ionian coast, and finally her parents seeing her off at the train station as she heads to Milan to get back to work!

Milan
Students look on as Giulia talks about Dickinson at the American School of Milan (top row).
After her visits to the American & International Schools of Milan, Giulia managed to see some of the central sites of Milan and stop for another favorite treat- gelato, of course! |

Rome
Giulia's next destination- Rome. Busy buzzing past the Coliseum, Roman Forum, and Circus Maximus in wild taxi rides on her way to visit the American Overseas School of Rome, Marymount International School & St. Stephen's School during the days, friends of the family took Giulia around for a more relaxing walk through Rome by night. Of course, Giulia couldn't leave Rome with out throwing a coin in the Trevi Fountain- and eating more gelato! |

After Rome, Giulia headed to the north-east tip of Italy, around the area of Trieste, to visit the United World College of the Adriatic. Upon her arrival a prospective student was excited to show Giulia around the campus and the charming town of Duino- including the breathtaking views! |

From Italy, Giulia headed to Turkey to visit schools in Istanbul, including The Koc School, Robert College, Yüzyil Isil High School, Istanbul International Community School, ERKAT Educational Counseling, Üsküdar American Academy and Eyuboglu High School. Between her schools visits and meetings with counselors, she spent time with a prospective student and past Dickinson Pre-College Program participant from Istanbul. The student's family "adopted" Giulia for the week and helped her experience Istanbul from a tourist and local perspective- from both the Europe and Asia side! |

Almost home from her month long adventure, Giulia met a friend in Amsterdam before catching her final flight back to the states! |
