As the international-admissions team, we work with international students, including non-U.S. students and U.S./U.S.-dual citizens living abroad. After a record-breaking year of almost 700 international applications, and nearly 6,000 applications in total, the class of 2011 is diverse: about 15 percent students of color and 6 percent F-1 international students. Following are some facts specific to our international student body.

• 25 countries are represented by citizenship and residence: Argentina, Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand/Taiwan, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Uruguay and United States.
International-applicant Statistics
• With nearly 700 applications, there was a 14-percent acceptance rate for F-1 international students (18-percent when including U.S./U.S.-dual citizens abroad).
• Average SAT 1 Composite and TOEFL scores: 1350 for SAT (critical reading and math) and 270 for TOEFL.

• In addition to these students and countries, Dickinson also is home to many U.S-dual citizens and permanent residents who have lived and attended high school in the United States, bringing the number of countries represented to more than 60.

• International students in the class of 2007 are engaged in new careers, graduate studies or following their research and Fulbright scholarship awards all over the world.
