Why Dickinson? It is a highly competitive school, academically challenging, small school and well reputed.

Comments: anything you'd like to share - I met some wonderful people at Dickinson, not just students, but professors as well. Everyone truly cares about the well-being of the students.

Advice: Dickinson is like a family away from home.

Favorite Thing: The variety of things to do, not just an academic environment. Wonderful people and opportunities.

Name: Martha Gidey
Known as: Martha
Class Year: 2006
Major: International Business and Management
E-Mail: gideym@dickinson.edu
Lived/Studied: Ethiopia
High School: International Community School

Why Dickinson? Dickinson has a great abroad program and it's location was very convenient for me.

Comments: During my time at Dickinson thus far, I have met many warm, friendly people, have been able to quickly adapt to the changes in my life, and easily and rapidly get involved in the Dickinson community.

Advice: When deciding about which college attend, talk to students who are or were at the college and try to visit it if at all possible. Simply reading about and seeing pictures of your choice isn't always enough.

Favorite Thing: The People

Other Interests: I love playing soccer and basketball, getting involved in clubs on campus.
