Tablet Project

Submit a Proposal

Academic Technology is currently not requesting proposals for the tablet initiative.

Potential benefits of using tablet computers in your class include facilitating online resource discovery, promoting collaboration and creating a paperless course.  Successful applicants will be loaned an iPad for their use and each student in their class will be eligible to borrow a tablet for the semester.  The deadline for submitting proposals is 5pm on Thursday, December 4th.  To maximize the number of classes that can participate preference will be given to classes with fewer than 20 students.  We expect a maximum of two classes will be selected to receive iPads.

To learn more about the tablet computer initiative please call or email Pat Pehlman (x1545) or your Academic Technology liaison. We encourage applicants to consider using open and/or library owned resources in their proposals.  Benefits of using open resources include cost savings for students, engaging students with a rich array of open access and library sources and encouraging more use of primary source materials by students.  Liaison librarians will assist faculty in identifying suitable open access and library resources.
