Indoor Ticketing Policy

The safety of the Dickinson community is our primary objective. The indoor ticketing policy ensures that if Commencement is held indoors, all attendees are in a safe environment that is also compliant with local fire and occupancy codes.

In the case of severe weather, the Commencement ceremony will be moved indoors to the Kline Center. Each student will receive two tickets for family members. Tickets will be distributed with the academic regalia in the weeks before the ceremony. Additional tickets will be made available on a first come, first served basis. The date of distribution will be shared with seniors and families later in the spring. Viewing locations will be available across campus to accommodate all members of a student’s party.

Please note the ticketing policy is only in effect in the case of an indoor Commencement ceremony. No tickets are necessary if the ceremony is outdoors.
