Choosing a major is a decision-making process that takes time. It can be a daunting prospect, but with the information provided on these pages, we hope that it will become much easier. It is important to remember that your major does not determine what your career will be. Check out the Major to Career portion of our website and you will see that not all language majors are teachers, not all biology majors are laboratory researchers, not all political science majors are lawyers. By and large, with a liberal arts education, YOU, not your major, will determine your career path. For you to be marketable to employers when you begin your job search, it is more important to have relevant experiences (such as internships) and to have developed the skills necessary to be successful in that field.
