MS in Accounting

(30 credit accelerated program – usually takes 12-18 months)
Preferential admission, a waived application, and the potential of a merit scholarship of up to $10,000 are available to seniors and alumni who meet the following criteria:

  1. An overall Grade Point Average of 3.3
  2. Submission of a completed application, statement of purpose, official transcript, resume, and two faculty letters of reference
  3. Recommendation of a Dickinson faculty committee

All applications will initially be reviewed by a Dickinson faculty committee. Candidates may be asked to revise some or all of the application materials.  Applicants who receive a favorable recommendation from Dickinson and whose credentials are acceptable by the admissions committee of American University will be invited for a mandatory interview. 

All application materials must be submitted to Laura Kilko in the Dickinson Career Center by November 1.

Students who have taken the following courses and earned a minimum “B” will be waived of comparable courses in the MS accounting program:

INBM – Fundamentals of Accounting
INBM 300 – Intro to Cost Analysis
ECON 111 – Intro to Microeconomics
ECON 112 – Intro to Macroeconomics
INBM 250 – Finance
INBM 220 – Managerial Decision Making
