Publications

If you are creating a publication for an external audience, editorial services will work with you to ensure that your text is effective, error-free and aligned with the college's style and marketing strategy. Before work begins, our editorial and design experts meet with clients and determine a project’s scope, creative direction and budget. We also develop a project timeline, which typically includes at least two editorial and design reviews. Most projects are completed within eight weeks; a complex or extensive project may take longer.

To request our assistance on publications for an external audience, please complete the project request form.

Dickinson Magazine

The college's award-winning magazine is published quarterly—in January, April, July and October. More information, links to online content and an issue archive are available on the Dickinson Magazine website.

Style Guide

To ensure consistency in college communications, the Office of Marketing & Communications has created a campus style guide that includes Dickinson-specific references, such as official department names. For all other matters of style, our editors refer to the current editions of The Associated Press Stylebook and The American Heritage Dictionary. These style standards apply to both print and electronic communications.

More information is available on the Style Guide page.
