Committee on Investments
The Committee on Investments is responsible and accountable, as delegated by the Board of Trustees, for the prudent management of the endowment’s assets, including:
- Developing and maintaining investment policy in light of the College’s strategic plan
- Setting risk tolerances and controls
- Allocating assets
- Appointing and evaluating the investment office
- Reporting to the Board periodically the results of the investment program
In collaboration with the Committee on Finance, Budget and Audit, the Committee on Investments recommends a spending policy to the Board of Trustees for approval annually. The Committee on Investments receives updates on endowment performance at least monthly, gathers face-to-face at least three times per year and meets frequently by conference call to discuss changing market conditions and strategy. The Committee may be composed of both Trustee and non-Trustee members.
