Human Resource Services encourages full-time support staff employees
to attend outside seminars and/or workshops that will enhance their job performance.
Each full-time employee is allotted $100 each fiscal year for continuing education.
The Continuing Education Fund will not be used to pay for certifications that are required
by an employee's position (i.e., CPR, bloodborne pathogens, Act 120, teacher certification,
etc.). These funds can be provided by individual departments. Additionally, the funds
are not intended to be used to pay for degree type programs.
- If you are interested in enrolling in a workshop or seminar, please follow these
simple steps.
- Get your Supervisor's written approval in the form of e-mail or a memo with their
signature. They must agree that the seminar is work related.
- At least 2 weeks prior to the registration deadline, forward the completed application
and approval to Dorie in HR Services. You will also need to include an account number
for us to charge if the seminar is more than $100.
That's it! We will take care of enrolling you in the seminar and paying for it.
Any questions, contact Dorie in HR Services at x1503 or by e-mail
