Presidential Transition Committee

Presidential Transition Committee

With the announcement that Dr. Margee Ensign has been appointed Dickinson’s 29th president as of July 1, 2017, I am happy to announce the formation of a Presidential Transition Committee. As Dr. Ensign prepares to take on her new role, there are clearly many considerations and questions, including what types of events, interactions and meaningful discussions should take place this spring and in the coming academic year. Consideration also should be given to the types of information and resources that will be most helpful to the new president as she becomes acquainted with our broad college community, including both our on-campus and off-campus constituencies.

While the entire Dickinson community will be involved in the transition process, we have asked trustees Carol Haislip ’79 and John Jones ’77 to serve as co-chairs of the Presidential Transition Committee. This group has been charged with ensuring that the college community is prepared for and engaged in this exciting period and that the needs of the incoming president are considered in an efficient and effective manner. Carol and John will be joined in this effort by representatives of the faculty, staff and student population.

Like the search committee, the transition committee is eager to hear your ideas and comments on how best to prepare for this leadership change. To that end, you may easily reach the committee at presidentialtransition@dickinson.edu. You also can continue to visit this page for the latest information on the transition.

We are truly grateful for the willingness of these committed Dickinsonians to serve in this important capacity and hope you will join us in thanking them for their service during this very exciting time in the college’s history.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Reynolds ’77
Chair, Board of Trustees
