Dickinson College is a community of inquiry committed to the free exchange of ideas that foster human connection and healthy relationships. Every member of our community is equally valuable and equally valued as an individual. Every member of our community is responsible to every other, and to the entire community.

Sexual harassment, misconduct and intimate partner violence pose a unique threat to the individual members of the community and to the community itself. An act of sexual harassment, misconduct or intimate partner violence represents a fundamental failure by the offender to recognize and respect the intrinsic worth and dignity of other members of our community. Such acts are contrary to the values of the Dickinson community and against College policy.

The College will not tolerate any type of sexual harassment, misconduct or intimate partner violence. The College is committed to taking all appropriate steps to eliminate sexual harassment, misconduct and intimate partner violence, prevent its recurrence and address its effects. The College recognizes that sexual harassment, misconduct, and intimate partner violence encompass a broad spectrum of conduct and will respond accordingly, considering both the severity of the offense and the threat it poses to our community.
