Don Quixote
Unique Don Quixote Editions on Exhibit

To mark the 400th anniversary of the completion of the story of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, the library acquired some rare and unique editions of this celebrated novel for our special collections.

Currently on display near the Stafford Reading Area, these copies include illustrated editions in English translation from 1742 (London), 1819 (London), 1864 (New York), and 1906 (New York), as well as illustrated editions in the original Spanish from 1797 (Madrid) and 1969 (Buenos Aires). Please enjoy the exhibit.

The Latin American Newspapers Series I & II database provides access to more than 280 newspapers published between 1805 and 1922.

Titles come from more than 20 countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela.
