Residence Life & Housing

Our educational priority is to create residential spaces for students to learn through relationships and community.

The residential experience is an opportunity to practice the knowledge and skills learned inside the classroom and to apply for the common good within the community.  We aspire to be a lab for learning where students can discuss and practice putting it all together.  Programmatically we are aligned with the Dickinson Four initiative and seek to encourage student participation in the Dickinson Four.  Ultimately active participation in the residential experience will help students articulate the who, what, how, and where of their Dickinson experience, by asking them to reflect upon their curricular and co-curricular experiences.

As an institution, Dickinson has three significant priorities that shape the Dickinson education: a global perspective, civic engagement, and sustainability.  Each of these areas is also a priority within the residential experience.
