How has Dickinson prepared Claire for Life Beyond the Limestone? “Dickinson has provided specific and general skills that helped me obtain my job post-graduation,” Claire says. “These specific skills include GIS, research, volunteer coordination and water-quality monitoring. Dickinson provided me with the opportunity to work with Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM) which has been instrumental in my capacity-building and confidence skills. My degree in environmental studies has provided me with a great base of knowledge of environmental issues from economics to policy to social issues.”

What is Jacqueline most anticipating about her post-graduation plans? “English is used so widely internationally that the best opportunities for advancement are through being able to engage using that language. Hopefully, I will be able to provide that resource to students in Mozambique so that they may utilize their language skills in ways that most directly aid their communities,” Jacqueline says.
