Dear alumni, parents and friends,
We are pleased to bring you this campaign update, which is designed to quickly connect you with the campaign's proress. You also will learn about faculty and students who benefit from private support, and read the inspirational story of a thoughtful and generous alumnus.
We are very proud to be co-chairing Dickinson's First in America: Fulfilling Our Destiny capital campaign. The current leadership is masterfully steering this institution into the 21st century, and we feel that it is our responsibility to make sure they and future generations of leaders have the resources to move our college forward to new heights of achievement and success.
This campaign will double the scholarship endowment, add 20 new endowed faculty positions, and fund a new state-of-the-art science complex. This transformation will only be possible with private support from alumni, parents and friends. You will be pleased to see that in the first of a five-year public phase, the campaign already has achieved $114 million toward a $150 million goal.
That is a great start, but we are just beginning and need your involvement to make this initiative a success. Thank you for caring about Dickinson and for believing in its
future. I hope you will join with us in fulfilling the mission that Benjamin Rush laid out for the college some 200 years ago.
Sincerely,
George & Jennifer Ward Reynolds ’77,
campaign co-chairs
