An appreciative audience beamed as student Alicia LeBlanc '07 introduced the president, who put forth a passionate call to unite efforts to complete Benjamin Rush's vision for the college.

President Durden concluded his remarks by saying:
"Dr. Rush, you have done your service. It is now our time. Propelled by an unprecedented combination of resolve, confidence, leadership and resources, we are the generation to 'aim especially well' and fulfill once and for all our college's destiny to become 'First in America.' "
