Using costumed actors, medieval instruments, vocalists, projected images, and supertitles, The Newberry Consort will present the 12th-century love story of Pierre Abélard & Héloïse d'Argenteuil.
Artists-in-Residence, The Newberry Consort, present “Forbidden Love: The Passion of Héloïse and Abélard,” the 12th-century love story of Pierre Abélard and Héloïse d’Argenteuil, using costumed actors, medieval instruments, vocalists, projected images, and supertitles. Music will include compositions by Machaut, Cordier, Senleches and others.
