An interactive workshop.
The Hive is the newest living laboratory at Dickinson, engaging students, staff, and faculty in learning about sustainability problems and solutions through the direct experience of beekeeping, honey production and community building. This interactive workshop will provide an overview of beekeeping, the biology of bees, and an overview of some of the sustainable products produced with their wax and honey. Participants will have the opportunity to sample honey, explore beekeeping equipment and make connections to how bees connect to sustainability.
