Join the Office of LGBTQ Services for a DUAL EVENT on Britton Plaza as we honor LGBTQ Community Center Awareness Day AND GLAAD's Spirit Day! LGBTQ Community Center Awareness Day is a national day of action focused on awareness around the work of LGBT community centers everywhere! Come learn more about the Office at Dickinson and celebrate with CAKE! Every year, millions go purple on Spirit Day in a stand against bullying and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. Observed annually since 2010, individuals, schools, organizations, corporations and public figures wear purple, which symbolizes 'spirit' on the rainbow flag. This year, we want all of Dickinson to WEAR PURPLE on Thursday, October 19th! Share pictures of you wearing purple by emailing them to LGBTQ@dickinson.edu or by using the hashtags #spiritday and #dsoninclusion. We will also be taking photos at the event!
