Most people emphasize the value of intellectual ability (IQ), but when it comes to achieving success in our careers, personal goals, and relationships, emotional intelligence (EQ) is equally important. Emotional intelligence refers to our ability to identify, use, and manage our own emotions so that we can communicate effectively, relieve stress, empathize with others, and overcome challenges. This talk will explore the concept of emotional intelligence and introduce ways to foster this skill set in ourselves and in our families.
