Hear from organization members who have firsthand experience leading coalitions in their communities.
This workshop is the second of CCLA's four-session Civic Skills Academy in October and February. We highly encourage students to attend all four sessions.
Coalitions are alliances of people and organizations that work together to achieve a common goal through shared responsibilities, goals, and leadership. Shared leadership is an important skill to learn since coalitions require the diverse knowledge and perspectives of multiple parties to accomplish goals for a just and equitable society. In this workshop, you will hear from organization members who have firsthand experience leading coalitions in their communities and you will be able to learn you can develop the skills necessary to become an effective coalition leader.
