The Traditional Plan This plan offers three meals a day Monday through Saturday and brunch and dinner on Sundays. The Traditional Plan is nontransferable and limited to one use per meal. You may not bring guests using this plan. Dickinson College recommends that first semester students choose the Traditional Plan until study and eating habits are established. You may change to another meal plan for second semester by accessing the Dickinson Gateway and choosing the Meal Plan Selection on the Student Forms website. The Flexboard I or "Points" Plan This plan assigns a point value to every meal, a total of 700 per semester. When the card is used at any dining location the appropriate amount of points are deducted: two for breakfast, three for lunch and five for dinner. This plan has unlimited use for the duration of the points total and a Declining Balance Account amount of $125 attached. The Flexboard II or "Points" Plan This plan assigns a point value to every meal, a total of 650 per semester. When the card is used at any dining location the appropriate amount of points are deducted: two for breakfast, three for lunch and five for dinner. This plan has unlimited use for the duration of the points total and a Declining Balance Account amount of $150 attached. Meal exchange credits and late lunches are available in Union Station. Lunch exchange is not available in Union Station between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Note: If you run out of points, you may purchase a block of 25 points for $40. Flexboard points may be used for catering events, barbecues and specials. You may host guests at any dining location with this plan. Points are nontransferable. The Apartment Housing Flex Meal Plan Available only to students who live off campus or in college-owned apartments. This is a Flexboard account with a lower point total, 400 per semester; a higher Declining Balance amount of $200. All meal plans end with breakfast following the last day of finals except for seniors participating in commencement exercises. In addition to the points that you receive with your Flex Plans you also receive a declining balance account of $125.00 with Flex Plan I, $150.00 with Flex Plan II, and $200.00 with the Apartment Flex Plan. This money must be spent within the semester that you have the plan. Just as your points do not carry over from semester to semester neither does the declining balance dollars that come with the plan. Any declining balance dollars that you add to your plan will carry over from semester to semester or you may choose to withdraw it all at the end of each semester. |
