The Health and Wellness Committee is dedicated to the
promotion of a quality student-centered health education program for
the Dickinson College student body. This is accomplished through communicating
information regarding health initiatives which empower students to make
informed choices about their health and well-being. This committee is
designed to support the educational mission of the college. |

Introduction
One of the most exciting things about college
is the ability to create your own experiences and learning opportunities.
As a hard-working and busy student, it's important to take the time to
think about and implement a regimen that allows for a healthy existence.
At Dickinson College, there is a wide variety of resources available
to you to accommodate your healthy living needs.
Dining Services
In addition to a number of offices dedicated
to assisting you with making healthy choices, the college is proud to
have one of the leading Dining Service operations in the country. Students
can always count on having multiple options for a healthy meal. Dining
Services will also assist students with special dietary needs associated
with a medical condition. For more information call x1318 or access their
website at: www.dickinson.edu/dining
Housing
Finally, our residential program offers the
opportunity to live in housing units designated as Healthy Living. The second floor of Adams Hall is designated as a Healthy Living environment for first-year students, and
upperclassmen are assigned to Longsdorff Hall. Healthy Living housing
is comprised of residents who endorse a substance-free lifestyle. Students
who select these living arrangements, commit to not using alcohol, tobacco
products, or illegal drugs in the residence. |
