24 January – Milagro Beanfield War (USA, Robert Redford, 1998, 117 min) Milagro, New Mexico. Population 426. Nothing had changed here for 300 years. But there's something about this day...
31 January – Orfeu Negro / Black Orphans (Marcel Camus, 1959, 107 min) Story based on the legend of Orpheus and Eurydice set against the colorful background of the carnival in Rio de Janiero. With its magnificent color photography and lively soundtrack, this film brought the infectious bossa nova beat to the United States.
7 February – Volver (Pedro Almodovar, 2006, 121 min) Two sisters learn that the bonds of family don't always end after death.
14 Februrary – Viva Cuba (Juan Carlos Cremata Malberti, 2006, 80 min) In a tale akin to “Romeo and Juliet,” the friendship between two children is threatened by their parents’ differences.
21 February - Terra estrangeira / Foreign Land (Waltar Salles and Daniela Thomas, 1995, 100 min) After the death of her mother, a young Brazilian decides to leave his country and travel to her native land. In a foreign land, he finds love and danger.

20 March –El Crimen del Padre Amaro (dir. Carlos Carrera, 2002, 118 min.) Politics and sexual passions threaten to corrupt a young, newly-ordained priest in a small Mexican town.
27 March – Eu, tu, eles / Me, you, them (Andrucha Waddington, 2000, 106 min.) Can one woman, three men and four children live under one roof or will Darlene be swept away by a handsome drifter who shows up?
3 April – La vida que te espera / Your next life (Manuel Aragon, 2004, 100 min) In a land steeped in the tradition and competition of dairy farming, the inevitable happens--a murder among neighbors, a mystery unsolved and a familial rift that leads to love and hatred.
10 April – El laberinto del fauno / Pan’s Labyrinth (Guillermo del Toro, 2006, 119 min) Powerless and lonely in a place of unfathomable cruelty, Ofelia lives out her own dark fable as she confronts monsters both otherworldly and human.
