Casa Hispánica
Located in Stuart Hall, the Casa Hispánica provides a unique, Spanish-speaking living environment for students who wish to practice and improve their language skills. Residents pledge to only speak Spanish while in the Casa. Parallel to this language immersion, students living in the Casa gain significant insights into the lives, customs, and values of Spanish-speaking peoples.
In conjunction with the Spanish Club, and assisted by three OSA's (Overseas Student Assistants) from the University of Málaga (Spain) and Querétaro (Mexico) who live in the house, students organize frequent programs centered on topics related to Hispanic cultures. In recent years these have included film series, guest lectures, field trips, and a paella dinner.
