YOUR "HOW TO…" INSTRUCTIONS
FOR ON-LINE REGISTRATION

STEP 1
Carefully read all of the information found at
Preparing for Spring 2004 Registration, and review the Course Offerings & Course Priority Information.

STEP 2
Meet with your adviser.

STEP 3
Complete the Course Request Form, including all 8 course choices (and PHSEDs) and submit the top portion of the form to the Registrar's Office no later than Noon, Thursday, October 23, 2003.

STEP 3
Go to the on-line registration screen: www.dickinson.edu/doc and enter your top 4 course choices. Be sure to do this between 9:00 AM, EST, Monday, October 27, and 4:00 PM, EST, Wednesday, October 29, 2003.

STEP 4
Click on WebAdvisor for Students -> then on Register for Classes -> then on Express Registration

STEP 5
Enter your login and pin #

STEP 6
Enter the following information for each of your course requests:
- Synonym column: leave blank
- Subject column: select the Dept/Subject from the drop-down box - ex. ANTHR
- Course #: hand type the course # - ex. 245F (include letter, if needed)
- Section #: hand type the section # - ex. 01
- Term: select the semester from the drop-down box - be sure to select 04/SP
- Take for: select C-Credit from the drop-down box

NOTES:

  • All of your course choices will appear with a "Wait List" status. Do not panic - this is correct.
  • Only enter your top four choices on line (and two PHSEDs). Even though there are more than three lines available on the Express Registration Screen, you should not enter your alternate choices.
  • If you want to make sure that you entered your courses correctly, go to the My Class Schedule page on DOC. There you should see the four courses you entered under the title: "You are on the following Wait Lists."
  • The Registrar's Office Staff will use the registration form with your additional course choices as a back-up to complete your schedule if the courses you have submitted on line are full.
