0835hrs.           150 West Louther Street, Residential Student Housing.  Fire Alarm Activation.  Facilities Management Services requested to check and service system.

 

0900hrs.           25 / 27 West High Street, High Street Apartments, Residential Student Housing.  Vandalism.  Vandalism to a common hallway within the interior of the residence was reported to Facilities Management Services.  Anyone who may have additional  information is requested to please contact the Department of Public Safety at (717) 245-1349 or www.dickinson.edu/departments/pubsaf/anonymoustips.html

 

2350hrs.           412 / 414 Dickinson Avenue, Baird / McClintock Hall, Residential Student Housing.  Drug / Narcotics Violations.  Investigation resulted in the identification of two suspects for drug / narcotics violations.  A subject was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Prison for processing.  This incident has been forwarded to the College Discipline System for further review.

0110hrs.           Nisbet Campus, area of the 300 block West Louther Street.  Liquor Law Violations & Related.  Investigation resulted in the identification of one subject for disorderly conduct (public urination), public drunkenness and liquor law violations.  This incident has been forwarded to the College Discipline System for further review.

 

0240hrs.           Rush Campus, Mooreland Avenue Parking Lot, 100 block Mooreland Avenue.  Liquor Law Violations & Related.  Investigation resulted in the identification of one subject for liquor law violations and public drunkenness.  Subject was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Carlisle Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

0355hrs.           360 West High Street, Morgan Hall, Residential Student Housing.  Fire Alarm – Tampering.  Alarm system was triggered by activation of a manual pull-station on the 1st floor of the residence; No suspect has been identified.

 

1430hrs.           49 North West Street, Stuart House, Exterior, Parking Area.  Larceny / Theft.  Report of decorative equipment having been stolen from the exterior of a parked vehicle.

 

1955hrs.           1240 Ritner Highway, Dickinson Park Athletic Fields.  College Policy Violations – Explosives / Fireworks.  Report of fireworks being exploded in the area.  Members of the College Community are reminded that possession and use of fireworks are prohibited on College property.

2250hrs.           Nisbet Campus, 400 block Dickinson Avenue & Other.  Policy Violations – Vehicle Related.  Identification of one student for repeated violations of the College’s First Year Student Vehicle Prohibition policy.  This matter has been forwarded to the College Discipline System for further review.

 

 


 

Sunday, 27 January

                        Members of the College Community are reminded that personal property should never be left unattended in a commonly accessible area, even within a College building.

Friday, 1 February

1045hrs.           200 block West Church Avenue, Eastern Parking Lot Adjacent to South College Hall.  Traffic Collision – Hit & Run.  Report of a two vehicle traffic collision without injury – hit & run incident involving members of the College.  Operator of the striking vehicle was later identified and restitution for damages made.

                        Members of the College Community are reminded that, in the event of an accident where damage has occurred - no matter how slight, leaving the scene without making notification to the owner of the other vehicle and/or local law enforcement is subject to prosecution.

 

 


 

Saturday, 2 February

0130hrs.           1st block North Pitt Street at West Louther Street, Borough of Carlisle.  Assault.

                        On Saturday, February 2, 2008, at approximately 1:30 a.m., an assault occurred in the area of North Pitt Street and West Louther Street.  A female student was approached by an unknown suspect who reportedly brandished a pocket knife and threatened her.  The suspect is described as a Black Male, 5'10” to 5'11” tall, unknown age, average build, with light, stubbly, facial hair.  The suspect was last seen wearing a red “beanie” style cap and a dark-colored wind breaker- style jacket.

0215hrs.          146 West High Street, High Street Apartments, Residential Student Housing.  Drug / Narcotics Violations.  Investigation resulted in the identification of one suspect for drug / narcotics violations.  This matter has been forwarded to the College Discipline System for further review.

 

1925hrs.           532-536 West Louther Street, Residential Student Housing.  Fire Alarm Activation.  Alarm system triggered by smoke from incense.  College policy and other violations were identified and this incident has been forwarded to the College Discipline System for further review.
