Psych 455 :Dev Psychopath
Second Elective: The second elective must be outside of Division III (200 level or higher), and the case must be made (by the student to the advisor and/or program chair) that this course engages the major in philosophical, environmental, or socio-cultural discussions of science.
Current Dickinson courses that satisfy Elective 2:
Anth 216: Medical Anthropology
Anth 245: (Health & Healing in Africa)
Hist 150: History of Science

Soc 230AB: Women's Health
Soc 300: Deviant Behavior & Social Control
Relgn 241B: Care of the Soul
E) RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
The neuroscience research requirement may be met by a variety of experiences. For example, the student may work on an independent research project, may conduct research with a Dickinson College faculty member during the summer, may complete an off-campus internship with a significant research component, or may have a research experience not covered by the above but deemed equivalent. The student will submit a proposal to his or her faculty adviser who will determine whether or not the completed experience satisfies the research requirement.
* Two semesters of mathematical sciences (calculus and/or statistics), and two semesters of physics are strongly recommended for students intending graduate study toward an advanced degree in neuroscience or the health professions.
** Students may declare major once they have successfully completed Psychology 125 (with lab) or Biology 124. |
