Student Music Society
The Music Society is an organization composed of music majors and other students with a strong passion for music and arts.  It is an organization that strives to disseminate and further interest, understanding, intellectual thought, and philosophical discussion of music in society.

The Music Society provides creative outlets for musicians and non-musicians alike, such as the annual Composition Competition, and promotes a community among those with a common interest in music.  To create unity among its members, the Music Society holds informal concerts and forums, and arranges for guest speakers and performers.  There are a number of off-campus excursions to live musical events otherwise unavailable to students on campus.

The Music Society does not require its members to be music majors or minors, instrumentalists, performers, or members of any Dickinson College musical ensemble.  Anyone in the Dickinson College community with an interest in music is encouraged to participate.
