Vocal Auditions
To schedule a vocal audition, contact Prof. Lynn Helding.

An accompanist will be provided for vocal auditions; vocalists may, however, bring their own accompanist. Voice auditions with recorded accompaniments will not be accepted.

Should you wish to sing with a Dickinson College accompanist, please label the envelope “Voice Audition” and send copies of the music at least two weeks prior to your audition to Prof. Lynn Helding. (Click here for mailing addresses.) Accompanists cannot be guaranteed if music is received less than two weeks in advance.

Singers may also send an audio recording to Prof. Helding in care of the Department.

General information about auditioning for the Dickinson College Department of Music, including information on audition results and financial aid, are located on our main Auditions page.

Vocal Audition Repertoire

Prepare two vocal selections from memory, in contrasting styles. One must be in a foreign language from the classical vocal repertoire, and the other must be in English; Musical Theatre repertoire is acceptable in this last category.
