Oral Exam in International Studies
A unique feature of the International Studies major at Dickinson is the final oral exam taken at the end of the senior year. It is a one hour exam which covers the following components of the International Studies major:
- International Relations Theory
- U.S. Foreign Policy
- Global Economics
- Diplomatic History
- the student's country, regional, or thematic area of concentration
To help students prepare for the exam, all senior majors enroll in International Studies 402-403- "Integrated Study", a year long (1/2 credit each semester) course which focuses on review and integration of the diverse components of the International Studies major.
