Institutional
Research conducts several student surveys during the year.
Survey
of Cultural Attitudes and Climate, Fall 2005
This survey was developed by the President's Commission on Diversity to
assess the racial/ethnic climate on campus for students.
Survey
of Accepted Applicants
Each Spring, we survey our admitted applicants to find out where they
are going to college in the Fall and how Dickinson compares to other colleges.
CIRP Freshman
Survey
Dickinson has been participating in the CIRP Freshman Survey coordinated
out of UCLA since 1970. Each year we survey our freshmen before classes
begin.
Student
Satisfaction Inventory and Institutional Priorities Survey
In Spring 2004 Dickinson participated in Noel Levitz’s surveys of
students, faculty, and staff.
National Survey of Student Engagement
In 2001-02 and 2005-06 Dickinson participated in the NSSE (a project of University
of Indiana).
HEDS Senior
Survey
Before graduating our seniors are surveyed about their four years at Dickinson
using an instrument shared with our peers in the HEDS consortium.
One-Year-Out
and Five-Years-Out Alumni Surveys
Career Services and Institutional Research conduct a survey of our most
recent graduates to find out what they’re doing.
