How to obtain the HPV vaccine

through Dickinson College Student Health Services

•  Call the Health Center (717-245-1835) to schedule a brief, 15 minute appointment to get your prescription for the HPV vaccine. Due to the price of the vaccine the Health Center is unable to keep a supply in stock.

•  Click on the link below to print the vaccine information statement. Please read, sign and date the form on the back. Bring this with you to your appointment. http://www.cdc.gov/nip/publications/VIS/vis-hpv.pdf

•  Get your prescription filled at a pharmacy and bring the vaccine to your next appointment. There will be a $5.00 injection fee.

 

FYI:

•  Call your health insurance carrier regarding reimbursement for your vaccine prescription. Not all health insurance companies will pay for this vaccine. The Dickinson College Student Health Insurance Policy does not cover any immunizations.

•  For a list of local pharmacies, see link below. Not all pharmacies will have the vaccine in stock. Please call the pharmacy of your choice to confirm they are able to obtain the vaccine for you. http://www.dickinson.edu/departments/health/pharmacies.html

•  Transportation to a pharmacy, if needed, may be arranged through Department of Public Safety (ext. 1349) or the Health Center (ext. 1835).

•  Quality Care Pharmacy will deliver prescriptions to the Health Center , but you must call first to set up a payment method. Their number is 249-5691.
