The Potter
Lectureship Series in Geology
The Noel Potter, Jr. Geology Lectureship was started by alumni of the geology department to honor Emeritus Professor Noel Potter on the occasion of his retirement in 2004. George Lee from the class of 1971 led the charge to raise a generous endowment from fellow geology alumni to fund this annual lecture in honor of Noel's 36 years of service at the college. During that time, Noel taught 3,178 students in Physical Geology and 233 majors in Field and Structural Geology. The following are the invited speakers to date:
