Last spring Dickinson's French Theatre Group, known as "Le TNC Théâtre National de Carlisle " ("The National Theatre of Carlisle") performed scenes from Eugène  Ionesco's "Excercices de conversation et de diction française pour étudiants américains" ( "French Conversation and Diction Exercises for American Students"). The play was performed April 23 and 24, 2007 in Bosler Hall at Dickinson College, directed by Assistant Professor of French, Andy MacDonald.

The May 15, 2006 initiation of our six new members of Pi Delta Phi, the National French Honor Society.  Profs. Laurent officiated and Duperron.  The "néophytes" are Matt Dudek, Petar Gitsoaika, Jeff Hopper, Eng Lor, Erin Kauffman, and Julie Younes. Lauren McGowan is this year's winner of the Selma K. Asbell Scholarship, awarded annually to a rising junior, and based on overall scholastic performance, achievement in the study of French language and culture, and financial need . Petar won a NECTFL award for excellence in French; Matt won the Caroline Kennedy Prize in French Literature. Pictured, top row below: Prof. Kline; the "néophytes;" Petar, Erin and Julie.
