Dickinson College--Engage the World Fellowship

As an Engage the World Fellow, Dickinson College provided the funding for me to be active in an assistantship with a professor here on campus. During my research in the lab, I learned safe lab technique and gained the knowledge of how to use several analytical tools, including NMR and thin layer chromatography. The experience also provided the opportunity to live on my own in a greater capacity then during the academic year, as well as gain new social experiences with my peers also involved in research. My use of the ETW fellowship demonstrates that to “Engage the World,” a fellow does not necessarily need to go halfway around the world but can apply the funding in a practical and useful way for their education in Carlisle.
